Home (Short Film)

Some stills from ‘Home’, the animated film I wrote for Carrickmacross Workhouse Famine Museum in Co. Monaghan, following the coming-of-age story of a young girl and her family during the Irish potato famine. ‘Home’ is my first solo screenplay and I’m also the voice actress narrating the story.

I’m incredibly proud of the the final cut, it was a huge labour of love on behalf of a small and very hard working team during a particularly difficult year.

The amazing talent behind the film included: my friend and main artist Holly Christine Callaghan, my director/animator brother Luke Leslie, storyboard artist Matthew Shiell, producer Mark Leslie, animators Daniel McNicholl and Rafael Araújo de Madeiros, a beautiful original score by Jonathan Casey with vocals by Pádraigín Ní Ullacháin and 3D models by Iván Pais Nieto and Alex Glenn Murray.
